Fun Fact: Phil Collins has stated that not even he knows the true meaning behind In The Air Tonight. This song was written out of his pure emotions following a messy divorce from his wife after a tour to Japan with Genesis. When Phil returned home, his wife left him and he was just messing around with a certain music note and thus, In The Air Tonight was born.
