Pipe Clamps 101 - Tips & Tricks : Featuring Pony Jorgensen Product

Thank you so much for this video. My husband was struggling to put these together. the spring for the end was put inside the clamp. Of course the package say nothing about removing the extra spring.

Unfortunately, I found your video after I tried to install my new Pony pipe clamps on to my new pipe. I was able to install the crank end without problem but the other end got jamb on the end of the pipe and I cant remove it or fully install (seat) it. Any suggestions. BTW, great video. Wish I had found it before I tried putting it together with the pipe!!

Does anybody know which type of Thread Tap should I use to make the thread on the pipe. Here where I live Home Depot doesn't offer the threading of the pipe. So I weather ask a metal turner to do it, or buy the Thread Tap and do it by my own.

How hard would it be to drill holes in the ends of these clamps if you wanted to bolt something to the end? Meaning is this some kind of non drillable metal or should it be fine?

Too bad they went out of business. I would like to purchase those adjustable stand offs to make my older clamps higher up off the workbench. Does anyone know if they can be purchased separately?

Pipes have to be threaded using a die, unless you have a place where you get your pipe, that will thread it for you.

I put wax on my pipes and now they all slip and had to cut lines with my hacksaw on the whole length to get them to grip
