Respect to Shameik for being honest & admitting he wasn't familiar with the comic books. Most of the time they ask an actor if they're familiar with the character they're portraying & you know they're clearly lying.

Shameik is a breath of fresh air. I’m glad they passed on him for Homecoming. Miles Morales needed someone so positive and upbeat to portray him. Hopefully he is the voice going forward. Maybe even the actual Miles.

The more and more I watch Shaemik Moore, the more fascinated I am with him. He just seems like a genuine, principled person. He knows who is and what he's about and he's not afraid to be himself. Props to Jake Johnson for commending the animators and CG artists. A majority of the fanfare is to the actors, directors, people on the soundtrack.

I hope that this film gets other heroes or anti-heroes stories translated into animated films rather than live action. Jake admitting he didn’t consider super hero roles because of the physical work required would prolly open the door for more actors to get into voice work to do other types of roles they wouldn’t have done if the medium was live action.

So now I take it they do the voice work before the animation is done compared to others who do the voice work to fit the animation. So no wonder why the animation took as long as it did.
