my husband met andre the giant and said he was the most humble sweet loving man hed ever met. he said he hugged him and he felt like he was the safest hed ever felt in his whole life. i see a tear form when he talks about it but always forces it back

I met Andre in Detroit back in the 70's. He was the sweetest man I have ever met. We sat at the bar as friends as I listened to his beautiful accent. 😍

As a rapier fencer, this movie has two of the best fight scenes in my book. The first is obviosly the duel, which isn’t very technically accurate to fencing, but is a perfect fight for showcasing two characters.

The second is when Inigo kills five guards within a matter of seconds in front of the six fingered man. Ot shows how quick a real fight can be and how devastating a skilled fencer can be against unprepared opponents. Especially followed by his famous line, it was just a perfect moment.

Because it is the best delivered line in the history of cinema! I was only ten when my father forced me to go see this. A ten year old boy in 1987 having to see a movie called; The Princess Bride! But it ended up being one of my all time favourites. One I still watch every few years!

Such a fun movie. I enjoy the whole thing, but as time goes by the moment I love the most is at the very end when Peter Falk's character replies to his grandson "As you wish". So great!

I was stuck on a solo business trip (I have no idea where) and having been on the road for days I couldn't tolerate another night in an hotel room. Luckily there was a theater within walking distance. I didnt care what it was showing. But this time it was The Princess Bride. How could I have gotten so lucky?! It was the best part of the entire two weeks. It remains one of the funniest films ever and the book was a blast, too.

I saw this in the theater when it came out and later shared it with my children and most recently i shared it with my girlfriends 11 year old. It harmed my heart to share this wonderful movie with those close to me that haven't seen it. I had so much fun sitting on my girlfriends couch her leaning on my shoulder and her daughter sitting on the floor in front of us glued to the screen afterwards i asked her if she liked it and she look at me then turned around and hit play on the dvd player so we watched it twice lol

The entire cast was just wonderful and had a rare chemistry that you don’t see often in tv or movies anymore. Andre I adored since I was a little kid and the only way to watch the WWF once in a while when our tv station played it after midnight on a Saturday. I will never forget watching him or the others. Rest in paradise Andre!❤❤
