A little departure from my usual videos for Christian songs. Before I started listening to Christan music I listened to country music for decades. Here's one of the most melancholy and tear-jerking country songs ever recorded, the lovely Barbara Mandrell singing "Years." This is not the radio version, this is a live version from her TV show. Wow. When it comes to heartbreak songs this one ranks right up there with Linda Ronstadt's "Long, Long Time."

This song rings so true for me. I had my fair share of girlfriends over the years. The childhood sweetheart, first love in my teens, but it wasn't until I met Marlana in 2003 that I experienced true love. I was with her for two glorious years... then fate intervened. We've been separated ever since. She's the one I wanted to marry and have a family with.
