@Nenjaw Well done! Hope all goes well for you this year.

Transform the cosec graph. Stretch the graph by a scale factor of 1/3 parallel to the x-axis and then stretch the resulting graph by a factor of 2 parallel to the y-axis.

We've been using these in my actual maths lessons. First time I've understood what was going on :P

Thanks for this...can you tell me the y=arcocosec x using the inverse function for dy/dx?

@happybro1 I know that but I said in the commentry that I was not putting them in only the ones for cot (theta)

Are there any additional topics that have been added to the new OCR MEI SPEC in the playlist?

4:49 but those values tend towards zero on the y axis not the x axis so how would they get smaller

Sir, how come cot (thita)=0 has a value on the graph. My mind is gonna explode at why cot(thita) even has a value at thita=90.

The logic that they use in the book to obtain the graph for the cotangent function is thag when tan(thita) is very very large (as it approaches the asymptote), cot (thita) becomes very very small. Following that, and that tan90 is undefined, then it follows that cot 90 has no value.

This hit me when I was doing a question the book and then the online solutions said "refer to graph for values of cot(thita)=0". However, if cot (thita) =1/tan (thita), then this must imply that tan (thita)=1/0 when cot (thita)=0. This is impossible though because like you said to someone else, 1/0 will give an infinite value.

Thank you very much for all your help and support. I'm self studying some modules and the only thing keeping me going are your videos. Please don't stop making these awesome videos :)

Hello sir thank you soo much for the video. I have 1 question for cot graph are the GREEN lines touching the x axis or not?

@happybro1 He said tan asymptotes to 90deg, which is pi/2

What program do you use to draw? Sorry, I couldn't find it on your channel or site.

is there a practical purpose for this?

Sir as you said cot(x)=- 1/tan(x) so if we take x as 90.
Tan (90) will be undefined, so how come the line touches 90 Degree, as 1 / Undefined is Undefined.🤔

Sir, In the exam, if we first sketch for example graph of "cos thita" and then sketch the graph of "sec thita " in order not to make mistake  then would the examiner accept it ?

I wish youtube was around in the early 90s when i was in high school

Sir, for the 'cot thita' graph, when you do 1/tan(90) in your calculator you get a 'maths error'.  So how come on the graph the value is 0?
