I like your videos and I understand it takes a lot effort on your part but having the cgc info as a subtitle is really good and stands you out

Another great video.
How many CGC books do you own? I’d watch a video on that.

Jerry, quick question. With you being a huge Batman fan, I was wondering which would be the better investment: Future State the Next Batman #1 the 1st print Ken Lashley variant, or the 2nd print? (Can't remember the cover artist right now) But any advice would help, as I too am a Batman fan. Thanks! On a side note I took your advice and snagged the Capullo Gun Slinger Spawn #1 in an eBay auction a couple days ago for $46 with free shipping👍🏼

Jerry just throwing this out there. Have you thought about making a second channel and informing your crowd to some good RAW books to go after in NM condition? I think that would be a great niche for you to do. I just grabbed a NM+ raw Amazing Spider-Man 375 IN NEWSTAND (key part IMO).

Just an idea. Love your stuff

Key 9.8s under $100 seems like a no brainer.

Yes, Voltron looks like it’s getting the live action movie treatment, so that should continue to climb

So just to confirm are you saying it’s okay to pay 7000 8000 for this Spider-Man 300 comic book then ? I’m looking around for a sign one but those prices seem a little to high it’s almost error cover venom level of prices .

Amazing Spider-Man #300 9.8 isn’t a “hard to find” book. It’s incredibly easy to find. It’s in almost every major auction. There are multiple copies on eBay. There are copies weekly up on Instagram and Facebook. There are over 1500 CGC copies in existence! You are way, way way too into the % of copies that get graded 9.8. It’s an interesting stat, but your conclusions that fliw from that one stat are often was off. Thinking that this book is hard to find because only 5% of the copies get a CGC 9.8 blue label is just ridiculous. The reason that only 5% of copies are graded 9.8 isn’t because this book is rare, it is because almost 29, 000 copies of Amazing 300 have been submitted to CGC alone. Nevermind other grading companies like CBCS. This is a very common book, and a very easy to find 9.8. That doesn’t mean it’s a cheap book, or even a bad book to invest in. The reason that it is valuable isn’t because “only” 5% of the copies are graded 9.8, it’s because it’s the first fucking appearance of Venom, it’s an iconic cover, and it was a major Spidey milestone issue. And on the most basic level, way more than 1500 collectors want a 9.8 copy.

Compare Amazing Spider-man #300 to #194 (first Black Cat). The Black Cat actually has a slight higher percentage of books in the 9.8 grade (5.7% vs 5.3% blue labels). However, THAT is a much, much rarer book because only 477 CGC 9.8s exist. It’s over 3x as rare as Amazing 300. That’s the number you should be focusing on, rather than percentage of the overall copies which are 9.8s which is, As I mentioned, an interesting, but overall mostly worthless statistic. Still, Amazing 300 9.8 is more valuable than 194 (barely), because of all those reasons I mentioned above. But the fact that 194 is overall 3x rarer is why it will eventually become more valuable as a long-term investment than #300.
