Interstate 64 has reopened in Thursday evening after two tractor trailer fires caused hours of traffic backups.

Issues began early Thursday when a truck caught fire near the Barboursville exit, shutting down the interstate.

First responders reported taking one person to the hospital and the lanes were reopened.

I don't know if the Dept of transportation changed the law, but years ago, to legally obtain a CDL A you needed to read, write and understand the English language. Unfortunately these crashes will still happen throughout the country bc there are thousands of illegal CDL drivers, driving across the country. Carrying up to 80, 000 gross vehicle weight. Traveling at speeds of 55 and higher.
