I was following you while I tried to learn Blender and just the other day decided my game was better suited to Unreal than Unity. Insanely excited about the perfectly coincidental timing with this series!

I'm actually really glad to have this explanation, I had no idea you needed the epic games launcher, so probably would have downloaded something from a random website instead

Hello. First off, I’m tremendous excited to start this unreal engine 5 tutorial series. But more importantly, I believe like your focus is more on character. But a big advantage of unreal is the access to quixel bridge. Are you going to be teaching how to build environments and locations? Like the planning out and making off them? Thank you again

Have an upvote and a comment. I'll watch it tomorrow. ;-)

BTW, one helpful video you could make is "how to install the hundreds of gigabytes of junk on a different drive letter." It's not obvious, and you have to change it in like three different places to make it happen consistently.

Yeagh! Things are on a good way!... UE5 + SD and now only the corresponding VR feature is missing. I hope SD can soon generate VR worlds that I can then immersively revive in UE....

I think it would be worth mentioning that you can deselect quite a bit under Options when installing the engine to lower the download and installl size. Most people probably don't need to be able to export to Linus/Android etc. when learning the engine. You can always readd them later when you need them.

You don't need debug symbols until you start debugging. I just saved you all 30 gigs.

Can you plz when you start lvl design part, use the quixel megascans plz. There is lots of tutorials on YouTube but they don't use quixel they just use original unreal materials allways

This obviously isn't something you'd cover for a long time because its more advanced stuff, but do you plan to make a video on building UE5 from source? I see surprisingly few resources talk about it, but its industry standard to build from source since it lets you get into parts of the engine that you can't do with an Epic Launcher-installed copy + for many game projects, I've heard its way better to build sooner rather than later if you don't know for sure you'll need to or not (correct me on this if I'm wrong)
