First, Giuliana did not make up the joke. There were writers who fed this stuff to the hosts More importantly, Kathy Griffin took over the show after Joan Rivers passed and Kathy has a history of being a merciless to celebrities. Her rants about Whitney Houston were over the top and she was the leader of the woke attack pack. Sometimes you have to look at the environment and if it stinks, leave. I'm happy for this couple and their son.

I don't think that Giuliana meant it to be racist. If you think about the hippie era. There were all nationality of people wearing braids, smoking weed & wearing patchouli oil. At that time there was a scent case, that looked much like an eyeshadow case, but instead, it had different scents made into a crème type of feel, & along with patchouli, there was sandalwood, jasmine, and a 4th one that I don't remember. She tried to explain during her apology that that is what she meant, but no one would listen, once someone hears racist, all insane thoughts leave their brains.

I think people who thought her comments were racists are racist themselves. Why automatically identify patchouli (or the other green stuff) smell are bad or only used by hippies? Patchouli are commonly used, so are you saying those other people smell bad? And who says Patchouli smells bad? maybe to you, but not to the people using them.
