Drumroll please...the day has arrived! It's time to start sowing snapdragons where I'm gardening in zone 5b! Today I bring to you a very detailed video with an explanation of what varieties of snapdragons I'm starting, some general information about them, how to sow them, pointers for how to have a successful germination process, as well as, what I'm trying out differently this year. Additionally, I take you with me for a full walk through demonstration of actually starting/sowing them.

It's a long one, but I figure snapdragons are VERY popular and people generally have many questions about starting them, so I tried to compile a "full coverage" video about starting them.

The varieties I started today are below and the ones I will start in about 3 weeks for my succession planting will include the same ones, as well as, the 3 I did not start today:

-Potomac Appleblossom
-Potomac Orange
-Potomac Sunrise Mix

-Madame Butterfly Bronze with White
-Opus III Bronze
-Chantilly Bronze

Succession Planting:
-Remainder of those above
-Costa Apricot
-Rembrandt
-Day and Night

Thanks for this video. My first time with snapdragons and I wonder when to start with liquid fertilizer.  
I am 3 weeks in and had great germination. To this point I am keeping the grow medium moist with bottom watering only but I am sure at some point they will need more than water. They are so little I don't want to kill them by fertilizing too early.
