Just for fun one of our Zizzo employees decided to take his 1986 LOOK Bernard Hinault Vintage Steel bike from his Junior Racing days and his more modern LOOK Carbon bike to climb a 1 km 7 % local hill using the same relative effort using a heart rate monitor. After a moderate warm up he used the Liberte 1st on one run and 2nd on the other run so it would have the "best chance" at a good time as to be the freshest. The Carbon bike was last on each run to give it the "worst chance" at a good time being the cyclist would be more tired after all the efforts. The Liberte being 5 lbs heavier than the Carbon bike held its own.

Put a 58 tooth litepro crankset on the Liberte. And a rear 11--42 cassette. And there would have been a different outcome here the 48 tooth ring the Liberte comes fitted standard. Isn't big enough to compete with the higher geared roadbikes.

I have a Tern Verge P10 fitted with a litepro 58 tooth crankset. And an 11--42 rear cassette. And it flys up hills. And I don't even have to come off the saddle.

Re-gear the Zizzo and you would get a different outcome.

not bad for the folder- for minor hills or rolling terrain would be okay
