That Bowser is not a minifigure, every set is based on levels from actual levels from Mario, Sonic isn’t Mario while arguably not being as close to the levels, and it is not strictly an electronic game just because the Mario figure interacts with the objects when turned on.

I think the Mario sets are awesome. I think their gimmick is very cool and I love how you can move every piece around so you can create your own level. Although yes, it doesn’t include mini figures, I don’t think that every set has to include one.

In my opinion. Lego super Mario theme is honestly the best themes because it's different from the other themes other Lego themes are just simple and sometimes not accurate. For Lego super Mario theme has the most accurate figures and they look exactly like from the video game. Unlike other Lego themes.

Boy, the entire Sonic community just raised their hands and are preparing to slap you. 🤣
Besides, we all know why the Lego Mario sets are the way they are, it's because of Nintendo.
They did not want the Lego sets made to represent their flagship series to be a copy and paste of all other Lego sets, they wanted it to be something unique, a goal they strive for with every single game they make.
So they made an actual game of it, after all, Nintendo is a video game developer first and foremost, I appreciate the level of creativity and it most definitely makes the sets stand out!
Y'all are acting like they're going to completely ignore traditional Lego Mario sets, as if the Piranha Plant, Bowser, and 16-bit Mario and Yoshi sets don't exist anyway, regular sets have and will continue to be released.
They didn't have the need or want to make any changes like that to the Animal Crossing sets because the concept of that game, building a comfy little life in an animal-filled world, kind of works perfectly with Lego, much like Minecraft.
And the Deku Tree set was made for adults and is meant to be more of a decorative piece than something you play with.
