Hi, I noticed this post and if you don't already have the answer here goes... remove the visor - the correct way is to open fully and pull down on the sprung catch, pull the top (large quadrant of clip) out then push the visor from the rear of the helmet against the base plate spring to release the other two clips. Should come off with no crunching sounds, otherwise your doing it wrong. To adjust the base plates so that the hook on the front of the visor clicks in easily - slacken the two fixing screws on both sides. The bottom screws don't do anything regards the adjustment, they just stop the base plate rotaing around the top screw. The top screw is set into a large plastic washer with indents around the circumference. Push on the washer to move the baseplate towards the visor opening and lightly retighen the top and bottom screws. Do this on the other side too. Close the visor and it should now clip into the hook. It took me a couple of attempts to get it Goldilocks. Patience is apparently a virtue.

I fixed mine! Remove visor. Loosen both screws a bit. I slid my left one forward which fixed the issue. Had a bit of a gap on the right side bottom. Moved the right one back a bit. Perfect!!

I had an old visor. Drill a large hole over each of the four screws. Now you can adjust the visor where you want it and tighten the screws without disturbing the setting. This is probably similar to what the dealer has.

This has happened to me too.. no issues at all until I removed my visor to give it all a spruce - now sitting with the exact issue. Did you manage to see how the chap you took it to sorted it?

*UPDATE*: So I initially tried loosening and tightening screws which didn’t do much. Found another YouTube clip which has worked personally for me. When I bought my helmet it came with a tiny bottle of silicone oil which I applied to the rubber seal using a cotton earbud; around the front where the visor meets as well as in the grooves where the nobbly bits go.. voila! Worked for me.

(In hindsight, I realised I used anti bacterial wipes to wipe down the seal when I cleaned it which probably removed the original layer that was there from manufacturing).

So I managed to get this by fixed by returning it back to where I bought it from. There is a special Shoei visor that dealers seem to have with cuts outs for the screws making adjustment really easy.. took them 20mins to sort. Hope this helps

I bought one new in march (first batch) from Bike Stop Stevenage. Went back straight after only riding 20 minutes to complain about the wind noise initially. As i felt it was worse than my ARAI TX4. It just so happened another customer came back with one to buy some ear plugs as he said it was noisier than his nerotec. They made it clear i wasn't getting a refund. They sent it away to be checked??? I picked it back up just the same. Then i noticed it's the visor not closing correctly. Its still like it. It's a shame as the specs and promises of reduced noise of the previous model are not so. It's my second Shoei and probably my last. It's about time we could try before we buy given the cost of these helmets.

That thing on the left to push the visor down isnt a good idea tho I think, it should be in the middle instead so both sides close well.

to any one having this problem, the visor itself is tough to pull up and down and if you take off the visor make sure you put i back in place just as it was, it’s not the helmet, its how you placed the visor wrong on the helmet incorrectly when putting the anti-fog screen, just a FYI

hi mate.
With this adjustment, can you not hear the wind passing through the visor, on the upper right and left sides?
At speeds above 100, 110km/h I start to hear a noise of wind passing through the visor.

Haven’t had the issue that you have had but agree with some of the other comments about noise. I had the original version prior to this and that was advertised as reasonably quite. I found it noisy even though I always wear plugs. New helmet Gt air 2 no better at all, still a bloody noisy helmet. I tried loads of places to see if I could try one before buying it to no avail. At this sort of cost, well over £400 it should be awesome.

I had the EXACT same issue, till last night.
After trying all sorts of things, I noticed that one of the visor's nubs was not seated properly in the base plate. Easy to see in the fully open position. The right front-most nub was riding 'on' the base plate instead of inside the channel. All of the visor's bits should be fully seated within the baseplate's channel. If any of them are 'riding high' you need to readjust it.
It makes sense as that right-front nub would pull the visor toward the right if not seated.
On casual inspection, the visor LOOKED like it was seated properly. It's an easy thing to miss.

I hope this helps anyone with the same issue.

Same problem. When the upper gasket srubs the pinlock, the pinlock moves around and looses the seal at the bottom end, then I get condensation between the visor and the pinlock. I'll try to play with the screws. Such a disappointment, will go back to x-lite gt when I'm done with this. Much better helmet in every aspect...

I have the same issue with a recently bought Neotec 2, brought back to the distributor but they can't fix it...I believe it is a design issue. I also have a Hornet ADV also bought most recently, don't have issue with this one, I notices the lock design is completely different.

Same problem with shutting. Thought it was normal :D. But one thing I see no one talk about. I was riding in the rain and on the left side it rained inside so badly I had the feeling that the visor was not shut. Anyway it was raining crazy, but still should not be an issue for a 630€ helmet (premium) stuff.

I am having the same issue, too tight and it won't latch. Too loose and I get wind thru the seal. I can find a good medium.

Same issue. Doesn’t seem like there is enough play to adjust it enough. Also my visor doesn’t click on/off smoothly, it’s a harsh press to clunk it back on. I thought the quality would have been a lot better for this price range. I’ll stick with Arai from now on.

Mines exactly the same mate. I just thought it was me being useless. Do you have a pin lock fitted, think that doesn't help.
