Is Jake Paul just a celebrity or a real boxer?

Jake Paul just lost his first match-up against a professional boxer— and got paid $8.6 million in the process.

The match up was billed as ‘The Truth’— Ostensibly deciding whether Jake Paul was a true boxer or not.

Fighters see Jake Paul as a grifter who was using his celebrity to make millions by masquerading as a professional.

But Paul sought legitimacy when he stepped into the ring against Tommy Fury.

What will be more revealing is what he does next.

Paul has a rematch clause he can exercise in his contract with Tommy Fury.

If Paul is merely an entertainer, he won’t continue to pursue professional opponents— instead he’ll choose bigger paydays with other “personality” matchups like KSI.

If Paul actually cares about being a legitimate boxer, he’ll rematch Tommy Fury.

But there’s a lot more risk with this option as well, because if he loses a second time, the money train surrounding Paul’s professional prospects will disappear.

Agreed. A lot is in the line for ole’ Jakey. He got pretty worked in that fight against Fury. I’m very interested in seeing if he actually rematches.

I mean he could b both…Ryan Garcia. But Ryan has literally been boxing his whole life and also got big on YouTube. But he’s no where near as popular as jake Paul. An Paul needs some serious training and I don’t think he is honestly dedicated. I’m still open to b proven wrong.

Jake Paul is not a boxer.he is someone who uses other people to try and make himself famous...Tommy is a mediocre fighter at best.so that should tell you what Jake paul is.and all the other people he has fought.he was either fighting poor ass fighters from the retiree home...or they were just worn completely out..either way Jake just got caught up in a hole lot shame.

Jake is a scrapper, he's not afraid to fight . He is not a professional boxer, but with some serious training he could be a pro boxer .
