We thought the same about ours. We poured a 4'x4' 3ft deep Footer with rebar uprights laid a 24"x24" block column filled with concrete to set our mailbox on/in. Wrapped it in some beautiful brick. Lasted a year before some old lady veered off the road and hit it. It pulled everything out of the ground and laid it on its side mostly still Intact. The old lady and her daughter both had to take a wagon ride to the hospital. The daughters breast implants exploded on impact from the airbags. So it can be taken out it just needs alot more force
