When I was in my late teens, I was to Bake Oven Knob. I went back with a friend about 2 years ago, but from Bake Oven Knob road and I was appalled at the graffitti and such. Needless to say, it was a disappointment. I've learned and should have known, never to go back to somewhere that you had beautiful memories from the past, because they are never as good or the same as they were before. Now I wouldn't be able to do as much of a hike as you did to get there. Sandwich sounded tasty (except the maple part). lol TFS..

Love the video. I do not like crowds either Cliff, i love the mountains, trees wildlife and the open air. My health is not good now, so i cannot do all that exploring anymore. But i live in a beautiful village with beautiful scenery. I walk my dogs every day. Only recently found you through JP. So i have been going through a lot of your videos. Love them all. And wow that sandwich, never seen one like that, just as well you do all that walking. lol.

Great video. Used to hike the mountains of N.C back when I was younger. But age catches up with every one. So now I watch the adventures of other people. Thanks for making an old ladies day with your adventures

What a great view WW! I suppose the snow covered rocks took a bit more time to be cautious. The graffiti sucks but it is a testimony to the disrespect and lack of connection to Mother Earth. Funny how it doesn't bother me as much in a city, far more appreciate, goes with the cold concrete. Even warms it up. But in Nature? Not! And of course, I crave peanut butter and may well go for my jar. All natural with home made jelly mixed in is pretty fine I must say. Yep, I'm going for it! Thanks Kindly WW! I do Love snow and in the wild when snowing, it is a silent roar and also a lovely smell! Here's to some good snow yet this season. I wish you Peaceful Slip free Journeys! And I noticed in my woods I have daffodils that have pushed up 4-5". Snowdrops with blooms. But not unusual. DaveyJO

Coffee would have been good with your sandwich. My grandfather liked the regular rye bread alot. Great view & just gorgeous hike with snow starting to fall. Took me by surprise once when a bobcat walked across my lake place, was beautiful cat. Loved it Cliff, thanks!! :)

Thank you so much. Funny I was thinking about your Wallet then you mentioned it being in backpack. It’s really sad people think it’s ok to deface anything. Really enjoyed that. I grew up nearby just north of there in East Penn Township in Carbon County. I went to elementary school in Ashfield. I hiked that section of the trail many times. Your video brought back many memories.

I love that view from the overlook but like I said last time it's a real shame people feel the need to cover the rocks in graffiti. I bet that view would look very pretty when everything is all covered in nature's Winter blanket. Thank you as always for a lovely hike. x
