A bold new plan is reimagining Penn Station, but it hinges on one major change—moving Madison Square Garden across the street to the former Penn Hotel site. The Grand Penn Community Alliance, led by Chief Architect Alex Washburn, has proposed a state-of-the-art train hall, increased train capacity, and a green space the size of Bryant Park. FOX 5's Arthur Chi'en has the story.

Looks beautiful. It would be nice, but it's Not going to happen!
Doyle just finished a Multi-Billion Dollar renovation of MSG, just to have it demolished and move up the block to a New MSG.

Build actual NEW PENN STATION above ground. Put green space on top.

Something similar to this circulates every year or so. Always inolving a flippant line 'move MSG across the road or to a new location' That is never going to happen... maybe in 20 years once the latest renovation is becoming more tired. I just don't see the company that built The Sphere ever letting the current MSG get to a state like that. Slow news day?

That design is terrible! Let’s knockdown an iconic venue to put up green grass and keep low ceilings of the station below? If you’re going to knock down MSG, then you need to build something in its place that was better than the original Penn station… Good luck with that. Proposal rejected.

The design is horrible! Let's build something futuristic!
