Garagistic & OEM BMW Strurt Tower Reinforcement Comparison

I purchased both the Garagistic and OEM BMW strut tower reinforcement plates a while back and thought it'll be useful to do a little comparison between the two. FYI - I'm not sponsored by either of the two companies. If you own an older BMW E chasis such as E30, E36 and E46, you know how important it is to reinforce your strut towers especially if you're installing coilovers or any suspension upgrades. thank you for making this video; I was unable to find any reviews or videos on the garagistic piece, will be ordering them for my new set of coilovers because of this video 👍

Awesome video thank you brother!
I picked up the front and rear garagtastic plates since I put coilovers and camber plates on my E46. I’m putting em in tomorrow morning. Definitely will give some peace of mind having them in. I recommend garagtastic to anybody looking for e46 parts. I also picked up a rear strut bar to go along with it all.

Could you please reply? There is a crack in the tower of my vehicle. I couldn't find any OEM parts. I found it from a specially made piece called garagistic. Do you think it will be useful? Which one should I use?

Can that oem gasket fit with the Garagistic front plates? Also, some people may run into issues running coilovers with camber plates if using the reinforcement plates with a strut bar. The camber plates need long studs so you can sandwich all that hardware together and fit the top bolts for the camber plates.

Good vid, they come stock on e90's now. My e46 had that problem back in the day.

If we disconsider the internal ring that fits into the hole in the strut tower tower and the external ring that is underneath the OEM reinforcement, is the rest of the plate flat? I have the impression that the oem has a very big radius, while the Garagistic one is a flat plate, this gives me the impression that the original has a better fit, distributing the force over a larger area and consequently causing less stress on the tower .

I didn't find a photo that shows a frontal view of the oem reinforcement, and I've never seen this part in person, so I can't confirm if this radius actually exists.

If I understand correctly the reinforcement plates just sandwich between the top mount of the shock absorber and the bottom of the strut tower? No welding required?

Do it but the bmw one on top if my strut tower or under my strut tower and above my coil over

Does the oem one cause the care to sit higher than the Garagistic one? Due to tit being more flat than the oem one?
