Our FULL P&O Iona REVIEW – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW!

We sailed on P&O Ioan for 7 nights in February 2024 to Northern Europe visiting the ports of Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Bruges. As we were sailing through the UK half term school holidays P&O Iona was sailing at near capacity. P&O Cruises' Iona, launched on August 9, 2020, is a groundbreaking vessel in the fleet. This magnificent ship spans 345 meters in length, with a gross tonnage of 184,089 tons, and accommodates up to 5,200 guests in its 2,610 cabins. Iona boasts numerous state-of-the-art amenities, including multiple dining venues, entertainment options, and recreational facilities, making it a premier choice for an exceptional cruising experience. Designed for sustainability, Iona is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), reducing its environmental impact.

We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.

Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.

Thanks so much for your informative videos and tips we are sailing on the iona in September, as we don't have children we certainly would avoid going on school holidays! on sea days if busy we would seat on our balcony reading a good book and breakfast at keel&cow too i always avoid the buffet might try the quays or 360 for lunch but to avoid queues we always book the specialists restaurants every evening we definitely do the sky dome for the entertainment looks alot more spacious and if you're light sleepers like us just check out all the decks for lifts, family cabins and restaurants and entertainment areas and just avoid 😊 happy sailing everyone 🛳️

We really enjoyed iona, even though it was busy we mostly could get a seat where we wanted. The only show that was disappointing was Ssshh. Overall found it very chill and relaxing time onboard. And great value too compared to other cruise lines.
