At 2:03 you said, "Ever since Plan N stopped being available in 2020..." Me thinks you meant Plan F there. 🤔

In Ohio and a few other states excess fees are not allowed. One other difference with plan N is that there is a $20 co-pay for doctor visits and a $50 co-pay for urgent care. As long as your not going to a doctor more than once a month plan N is likely cheaper than plan G.

Most confusing: Part G, Part D, Vs Advantage. After learning as much as I could about all of those plans, I'm more confused than before. I like Advantage because of the $0 cost for me but I'm concerned about my future and being unable to switch to Plan G later on in life due to some Plan G underwriter denying me enrollment. Getting older won't make me healthier for sure.

My experience is that you cant sign up for anything until you have a Medicare Number and you dont get that until you sign up for at least part A. I worked until past 65 and Always carried "qualifying" medical insurance from an employer, I am wading through the process and finding out that there are things that Noone knows or can relate to you until you do it yourself. It's a Minefield.

I did not hear you mention SEP [Special Enrollment Period] when enrolling in Medicare Part B. The SEP also excludes one from Medical Underwriting Questions. Many people who work past 65 choose to exercise this option. The Main requirements are Creditable Coverage by an Employer past 65 and your Employer must have more than 20 Employees. People need to understand this also because many folks are working past 65.
And now several States have passed the Birthday Rule that can also exclude someone from Medical Underwriting Questions depending on the circumstance. In my State you can change Plans on your Birthday for 60 days BUT the Plan has to be EQUAL To or Lesser than present coverage.

I qualified for Medicare June 1st 2023 as a result of SSDI. I turned down Medicare B and went through my employer’s cobra plan until December 2023.
I will be enrolling in Medicare B January 2024 with my SSDI. I am 63 yrs old.
I plan on a supplement plan G.
Does anybody know if I will have to qualify for the Medicare supplement plan ? Meaning if I have pre existing conditions can I still get plan G?
It’s become confusing for me since I qualified for Medicare in June but turned it down. Seems rules change as a result of me postponing the Medicare part B .

It would have been good if you had explained the difference of, for example, what Aetna pays compared to Medco. In other words, Medco could be cheaper, but may not cover as much as Aetna or United Healthcare.

Is the guaranteed enrollment period six months after you become eligible for Medicare? For example, if your medicare Part A and Part B start on August 1, you have until January 31 to enroll in a Medigap/supplement policy with no underwriting.

I just was talking to someone who told me they have UHC Medicare advantage and they have the same benefits worldwide as they do in the USA. My plan only has emergency care and you have to be reimbursed after paying the bill. Has anybody ever heard of this?
