Dude learning how to kickflip in just 1 week is super impressive. Like the other people said it usually takes a few months or even a year or so. Also it's sick that Tony Hawk was literally the person who taught you.

Wtf, imagine landing your first kick flip in front of Tony Hawk, with a messed up shoulder, only a week into skating, and getting advice from him

Dude you’re a crazy fast learner. And extremely coachable

As someone who's been skating 25 years, i almost cried with you after the land. Because i too know that feeling, but it took me well over a year to land like the other skaters you met. So it's truly incredible to did this! So stoked!! Also, tony's the fuckin' MAN. Always has been.

Okay okay okay whoa. Can we take a minute to appreciate how HARD this guy went. Like full commitment straight away. Even not being super comfy on the board, Isaiah sent it and experienced the full park like it was nothing. He went so hard he literally ate the concrete like a champ, and landed an Ollie his first day?? Bro mad respect. You're a natural learner!

Dude, I am learning to skate right now after a 10-year break and I feel the pain and struggle. Watching you do this is so inspirational! Thank you and congratulations!

As someone who's skated since I was 5, now I'm 27. This video made me really appreciate you. It took me until I was 7 to land my first kickflip, mainly started out on vert. Alot of people don't know exactly what it takes to skate. I have these same struggles learning new tricks too even going back to old trick can throw you off. It's all a muscle memory/confidence game.

I skateboarded when I was two apparently and I haven't done it since then, my mom said I knew how to skateboard at two, but I haven't done it in 16 years (I'm 18) and I recently found my skateboard my dad gave me and found this video, thank you so much! Hopefully I get better out good as my two year old self quickly!

Favorite part of the video is seeing how stoked Tony Hawk got when you landed it, also the skaters helping at the park shows the camaraderie that exists in skateboarding because we were all beginners at one point.

Tony helped me drop into a bowl I was scared of for the first time. It's amazing what you can do when a legend like him is watching you.

Tony apologizing for his “bad kick flips” is like when you go to someone’s house and they apologize for their house being “dirty” when it’s spotless

A lot of people think skateboarding is easy cause you use mostly your feet but it's probably one of the hardest skating thing

I might be biased, but this is your best video yet..

Respect man! I started skating when I was probably 13 and skated almost everyday till I was like 25. Life happened, and blah blah blah, whatever. Seeing your drive to learn really makes me want to get my board out and go cruise around. It took me a solid 4 months of consistently trying to learn kickflips, but I already had my balance figured out along with other simple tricks. For you to go from a sloppy Ollie to kick flips in way less than a month is incredible. Props to you man. And to Tony just for being the legend that he is

I think anyone can learn to kickflip in a week, but it's kind of dangerous if you don't have a solid foundation. That's why I think a lot of skaters take a year to really build a foundation and learn other tricks before they try to learn kickflip and also with that foundation you can incorporate that kickflip knowledge into other tricks that you already have like 180s and shove it easier
