I have straight-ish hair locs and I've had the for about 3 years and I've never had an issue with them from swimming... They were fine even in the first few months... My only complaint is, if a pool has recently been shocked it can be difficult to get the smell of chlorine out of them, so I try to avoid that. At the beginning of the summer I found a swim club near by that has salt water pools and not only has that saved me from smelling like a life guard but the salt even helps the tighten them up and prevents the frizzies... But it also has dried my scalp out more than id care for but it's better that the chlorine smell
