Beautiful place. We lost our nephew along with 6 of his co workers/friends on the January 29 plane crash in DC. He was 43 and it's one of the hardest things to go through. There was no time to prepare, he wasn't sick or old. We didn't even know he went on the trip until we got the call. Prayers for all who go through these tragedies. Thank you for doing this so well done!

I lived in OKC when it happened. A ceramic angel falling off my shelf woke me up. Later I heard what had happened. I can’t go by the memorial, it is too heart wrenching especially the children. I didn’t know anyone who lived or died, but those chairs are so heartbreaking. May the garden be a constant reminder of the senseless violence that took so many lives🙏🏻❤️

As we all like the small details I will tell you what I remember from that time. I was living in Norman when this occurred. People say they felt it 40 miles away, but I was 20 and didn't feel it. There was lots of confusion at the site because they kept saying there were more bombs so you literally had people running back and forth and back and forth. One woman had her leg trapped and they had to cut it off to get her out of but they kept having to leave her when they told them to clear there was another bomb. I don't remember her name, but I hope she's healed. It was incredibly hard to get in touch with people because your regular landlines were down for whatever reason. Everyone and their 5 year old did not have cell phones at that time. When I actually saw the building it didn't look real it was absolutely the weirdest and most surreal feeling.

They asked for people to bring supplies downtown. Things like gloves, masks, shovels, everything. At the same time the DEA and the ATF had lost their minds because it was a government building, and they kept running around yelling at people because they were carrying sacks that they didn't know what was inside of them. Can't really blame them. The worst thing of all was a family friend worked at one of the makeshift morgues and towards the end of the recovery time the people they brought in did not have Riga Mortis set in which meant they had survived until right before they were recovered.

The day they were going to implode the rest of the building the survivors and victims families gathered at the site and they were supposed to give a warning siren that the implosion was about to occur and somehow it did not. At least one person, maybe two had heart attacks.

We will never forget.

What a beautiful solemn memorial. How tragic that 168 people were killed. The designer certainly created a fitting place of remembrance. Thank you Scott for taking us there. Peace.

Thank you for sharing, I have a friend who I work with who lost her niece from this tragedy. She was on the 8th floor. It's so very sad that nothing has changed in our world. Extremists have caused so much pain.

This is so haunting. All those lives taken so sad. This made my heartache for the families, and it still does. Nicely put together, Scott

No one ever talks about this awful tragedy. I was pregnant with my son and I vividly remember a baby with burnt clothes in a fire fighters arms the babies name was Bailey..I wept then and still turns up emotions inside.. the picture captured the horror. R.I.P. all the souls lost that day🤍🙏

Pre-internet days, everyone was glued to the evening news to learn updates. What a sad and somber time in our history. Thank you for showing us what it looks like today. May each of these beautiful souls rest in peace.

I was stationed at Tinker AFB. You could feel the bomb blast on base. I will never forget, and a piece of my heart will always be in OKC. I've been back to the memorial several times with my kids.

Thank you for sharing this memory, Scott. My daughter was not yet two years old when this happened. Then and now, when I think of all the babies who died, I hold her a little bit closer and am thankful she's still here. I cannot imagine the grief all of those who were only left with memories, hopes, and dreams felt. I just know it's deep and never really goes away.
I view this channel and you as being where the names and memories of the dead are shared and keep these people alive in our memories. You're a good man.

Breaks my heart to see ages of the children. How old they would be today. They didn’t have a chance.

It's so sad to think those children would be in their early 30s today. All that life and so much more, gone in a flash. RIP 😢❤

July 1995 I was in OKC for a family event and left a note on that fence. That was the most devastating thing I had ever seen. The building was still standing, blown apart, and surrounding buildings with boarded up windows. Thanks for this video. I never returned to OKC and it is good to see what they have done in memorial of that horrific, tragic day. May those souls rest in peace.
