This song was while the band transitioned from Keith to the new vocalist Brennan. This was the first recorded demo with him, they tried to keep the same sound with him, but ended up with the sound they had on birth eater album. Great song.

The first minute has to be my favorite part of the song. I miss when Oceana was a post hardcore band, too bad I didnt know about them at the time:/ they had a unique sound with ambience/atmospheric/post hardcore all in one, and it was fucking GOLD.

While I still do LOVE current Oceana, I wish they continued on this. This is by far one of their best songs...sadly it will remain hidden and almost unknown. I seriously wish they remastered it.

oh crap i realize why you said that, i had completely forgotten about Comerica. they sounded a LOT like old Oceana but everyone else and me can confirm this song is not theirs. I remember listening to it on Oceana's myspace back in summer 2008. They even played it a few times live but the videos are now gone from youtube...

To me The Tide was thier best work, but I still like to listen to all of their songs and I like how they"re one of the few bands that is bold and changes their style which in my opinion is still amazing and they will always be my favorite band and they help me get through my days because I listen to them daily

I like how it's a mix of both. The music sounds more like The Tide but of course with Brennan's vocals.
