0:22 these guys shared the same braincell. They both attempted right hooks, whiffed then proceeded with a double left hook for the double knockdown. These moments are indeed those "rarified air" kinds.

#1 should have been Apollo Creed vs. Rocky Balboa in their 1979 rematch for the heavyweight championship of the world.

Remember watching the Renda one in the pub! Think Samuels went on to stop Renda

Murphy - Mutti was straight out of Hajime No Ippo.
I didn´t know Boone had a double knockdown fight. I am still bitter that his career went the way it did. If only a decent promoter had picked him up.

Usually means the skill is fairly evenly matched.

I remember watching a fight on television at least 40 years ago. One fighter was in trouble and the ref jumped in to stop the fight. Just before it was stopped the fighter that was in trouble threw a punch that knocked his opponent out cold and the ref didn't see it. The winner was out cold. Strange outcome.

Some of the referees aren't handling this properly. Whoever gets up first should not necessarily be declared the winner. You have to give a chance for both fighters to stand within the standard 10 count (or 8 count, depending on rules set being used). Here we see that some refs are calling the fight off after seeing that one fighter can't continue, but they need to inspect BOTH fighters before making that determination. If the other one is unable to continue as well, then it should be ruled as a double KO draw. It has to be one of the most difficult things to do as a ref, because chances are that most refs will never even see this happen once, so if it does happen, they've probably never seen it happen before, and it's not easy to assess both fighter's ability to continue within an appropriately timely fashion.
