* The Constitutional Court will hear the IEC's challenge over former president Zuma's eligibility to serve in the National Assembly on the 10th of next month, 19 days before the elections. The IEC's challenge follows Friday's ruling by the Electoral Court that Zuma could stand as a MK Party candidate, despite his 15-month sentence for contempt of court.

* The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, will arrive in Saudi Arabia today to push for a temporary ceasefire and humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
Meanwhile, a Hamas delegation will visit Cairo in Egypt today for talks aimed at securing a ceasefire.
