Stunning vocal group acappella performance of the Shirelles hit from 1958 on Decca. Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Laura Nyro backed by the group LaBelle with the Legendary Patty Labelle herself. Nice cut from a fantastic album.

I got this album in the early 80s by accident when I was still in high school and it blew my natural mind!!!

I never would have imagined Laura, and Patti, Nora, And Sarah making a cover record on older soul songs unless I brought it home...

I watch A Home at the End of the World and am always touched when Sissy Spacek's character hears Laura Nyro for the first time. It's this album they're listening to in the movie.

This kind of talent doesn't exist anymore. It would never make it on the radio if it did

So sweet, so rare, so overwhelming vocally. It appears "the lot in life of "the purest, most endearing & talented artists thru modern history suffer a tragic, shortened life, leaving only there acclaimed, sometimes under appreciated works as their "footprints" thru this life. The most wicked, crooked evil ones seem to keep on ticking like the old "TIMEX WATCH" commercial. No one, nowhere, has found an answer. So, " QUE SERA, SERA"(WHAT WILL BE WILL BE"(DORIS DAY)

For what it's worth the groups name was spelled Labelle. No capital B. The capital B was how Patti Spells her last name.
