I actually hope cobra Kai ends with Daniel and Kumiko somehow reuniting. As much as I like Amanda, I seriously can’t picture what ever drew her and Daniel together. Kumiko was his true love and always will be. I think the perfect sendoff for Daniel would be to have the last ending scene of the show be a re-enactment of the tea ceremony between him and her. Maybe with Mike Barnes coming back and cobra Kai gaining control, Amanda finally has enough. You never know.

This song seemed just made for them. I really wanted them to end up together… but I am not sure how that will complicate the storyline of Cobra Kai. But seeing them danced… again brought me back to memories some 30+ years ago when I was in high school and this movie was a hit. That dance was so my high school days that I felt I was back in time again when dancing was like expression of how you feel for each other ❤️ But when the hugged each other in this video… i felt they are really soulmates. I wanted them to end up together… but there’s something quite beautiful in their story —- perhaps true love —- that adding something to it is scary that it might change something between them. Daniel was looking for Mr Miyagi… and he ended up seeing Kumiko. Maybe she’s not just a partner for Daniel… but more of light… a glimmer of hope… a direction. I don’t know. But it’s simply a beautiful story whether they end up together or not. Maybe sometimes even if it’s painful, there’s beauty in not ending up with the one you truly love… not ending as husband and wife… but best friends or somebody that brings balance to your life. Who knows….
