What trully sucks thoguh is we dont get to see this. This is why i kinds hate the story because it feels like they just pretty much put all the past characters on a somewhat back burner. When maya died i didnt feel anything. I thought it sucked but i didnt feelt eh weight of thag death. When roland died i felt shocked and pissed. With maya i just felt like "oh Ok so we are doing that now." Its just, i feel like they screwed up somewhere. Like thee villians, they make me want to kill them, which is what they are supposed to, but at the same time its not for reason from past stories. We arent really connecting with them or loving them as we did with padt villians so when they go and kill maya like they did it didnt add any stakes or shock me or anger me into wanting too kill them even more. They got rid of claptrap (the real claptrap), they shafted Rhys and tried to pretend like it was his fault and then they practically break up the gang withought any explanation or reason whatsoever. Just, i wish they wouldve learned some lessons from Borderlands 2, we loved handsome jack but thats because we enjoyed killing him. He was evil, funny, a bit sad, and when he took out one of our own we felt it. The stakes were risen and our hatred for him grew with it. Im not asking for perfection i just simply want character deaths such as maya to mean something. Hell tgus whole conversation, while heartbreaking, just emphasises how royally they fucked us and did it to try and get shock value withought really building it up and making us feel it. On a personal note, i reallybayte when we telleport in the room and the cutscene pretends lile we arent even there, like they couldnt pull a bloodwing where we at least feel failure after fighting so hard to save him but just dont in the end.

The fact that somehow, in spite of his insanity, he managed to cohesively put toguether that final "pretty lady" line just goes to show how much he cares and worries about her....heartbreaking

I almost guarantee that the first words Krieg speaks to us in whatever DLC he’s in will be completely normal and under control and then finding out about Maya is going to revert him back.

This has more emotion than anything in the whole storyline of this game and half of it is nonsensically yelling... but I guess the story was mostly nonsensical yelling, too.
