In this video, I give a demo of how the keys that come with the car work and how "good" they are. I also talk about the charging cable that is included with the car and try to fit it into the frunk.

Just got my EX30 Ultra TM having previously had Polestar P2. Volvo need to have a chat with their colleagues in Polestar, they listened, learnt and resolved nearly all of these issues 3 years ago.

Refreshingly candid and very helpful. I lease an Ioniq 5 (which is excellent) and really hope this car becomes 100% viable by 2026. Subbed.

Can you review two things. 1) which functions can you program into the programmable steering wheel button and 2) what are all the functions/settings that can be stored into an individual’s profile. Thanks!

I bought the core version and it didn't come with the key. Anybody know how I can program one to work with the car? Obviously I would need to buy the key

I am waiting for the EX30 to arrive in Australia but those key cards are really off putting. I will have to wait to see what we get here.

I can't get the cable to work as an extention to my main charging connection. Any thoughts.

Hello there
Thank you for this vidéo.
Short question:
How did you setup the 'bip' sound when the car lock the doors (when you are walking far away)?
In the vidéo at 1min40sec
I would like to setup same feature to be notified when the car is locked.
Thank you in advance

Thnks for your informative video's, i like them.
I'm waiting for my ex30 Core. Should be delivered in june..

Two questions:
Is it also possible to use the key tag on an ex30 Core in the future? Is it possible to buy this option in the future? Or is the car (Core version) really missing hardware to be able to use this option?
And, is it possible to unlock and lock the ex30 Core in the Volvo ex30 app? After unlocking in the app, do i still need a keycard to start the the car?

Thanks, very helpful. Was hoping to find out how you charge the blok key or key fob? And does it come with the charging wire - if it does, I haven't found it.

I’ve just got my brand new EX30 and I’m having the same issue with proximity locking and unlocking - sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, not ideal!!!

I amfinding the car to be very light on the road. Feels like the tyres are not gripping is this an electric car trait, are they all like this?

Does the key card need to be left on the reader once the car is in gear? I assume not since it is blocking the wireless phone charger.

In Volvo's own site, that flat card is described as a plan B backup in case you don't have your NFC-enabled phone with you. So it seems like the original idea was that Core users should open their card with their mobile phone, and the card used only in an emergency. And then the mobile phone thingy wasn't ready in time...

You also have a button to lock or unlock the car on the driver door handle :-)

Even my Dacia Sandero has a key fob. I am waiting for Core and I hope there will be more options to open car.

Could you do some test drives with different average speeds (e.g. 60 km/h, 90 km/h, 110 km/h, 130 km/h) to see how the consumption is affected? Thanks for the videos. Really helps in getting to know the car before it arrives. :-)

So once the phone option is rolled out, what happens when your phone dies, or you lose your phone.

Mine will be delivered in April, volvo transparently admits that the software indeed needs more key updates… when i was test driving it a few weeks ago i also Was stunned how complicated it is to disconnect the charging cable as i was passing at my home to test my charging station. Well, any software is never perfect but for 52‘000 .- i will expect the major stuff to work. But hey, the driving is great and fun and the seats are great and the suspension
