Lol, imagine what it's like having a 65 lb German Shepherd who wants to play.

Vee, you just have to accept that you are on this earth to serve cats(and your fiancee)!

Vee, you don't get to decide when playtime is. The cat does.

That is possibly the most active breed of cat their is Vee. It will require lots of play time. They are wonderfully rewarding felines, but like an Australian Shepard or a Jack Russell Terrier, they need lots of physical and mental exercise. Its a side effect of being highly intelligent. Gorgeous kitty btw.

Meanwhile, my cat only acknowledges my existence when she wants food

Be happy that you have a cat that actually wants to be around you

I've had a number of cats that play fetch. Just rescued a tiny little kitten from the middle of a busy road, about to get squashed three weeks ago, and he's the best fetcher I've ever seen. Never gets bored with it.

I have an outside cat. Dude is a hunting machine. He eats birds feathers and all and likes to eat rat heads.

Cats can also feed themselves with an automated food dispenser (that has a timer that only works once per day, so the cat cant keep pressing it).

Lots of saved time with that stuff.

Well at least you got a video out of it, unbeknownst to the cat 😄

My daughter's cat is very generous with his gifting. The other day he brought her a green bean, an entire rat (Unusual; it's often just the feet), a ping pong ball, & the slotted spoon from the kitchen. His regular daily practice is to deposit an earthworm on her pillow each morning, & one for her sister too if she's in residence

My cat sorta does this, but most of the time she'll drop the thing like 5 feet away and look at me like she expects me to get up EVERY TIME to get it. :|
(Vee your cat is very pretty btw)

Beautiful cat. My cat plays fetch too. It also drags it's cat wands to me and sometimes I wake up with its toys on the bed, sometimes even next to me. It's good. It means it associates you with play time - one of the things that happy cats love.
