I'm excited to have Shaylee of Shayleeandbaby contributing to Embracing Motherhood this week! This was supposed to go up in August before I put the series on hold, so I'm so glad we finally get to share this video with you! Love this! I can so connect. My daughter was also unplanned. But God truly blessed me with her. It's tough at times, because so many people have their own opinion. Like Shaylee said, you as a mom have to do what's right for you and your child. Glad to see this series back!! 😊

shayleeandbaby I feel ya girl! My first we tried for 1 year. The second... ummm... completely unplanned and very scary for me. My first was extremely colicky (so was my second!) and I found out I was pregnant when she was 6.5 months old. It was a very difficult and lonely journey but now I am INCREDIBLY grateful to have two daughters so close in age (and so different in personality!). I'm so glad to have found you and youtube. You mamas rock!

Thank you for sharing this, I felt the same way when pregnant with my first.  I cried because it totally changed my plans.  But it all worked out and I loved being pregnant.  Then afterwards I really struggled with not being able to breastfeed.  My daughter was so difficult.  She didn't like to eat or sleep, she just cried.  I struggled with depression and body image issues.  Then with the next we found out at the second ultrasound 13 weeks in that we were having twins.  Although it gets terribly hectic with all 3 girls, the twins are such mellow sweet babies and the entire experience has been much better than what I expected it to be.  Sometimes the things that frighted us or seem impossible turn out to be beautiful blessings in many ways.
