I have been telling my kids and other people that living high on the hog is going to bite them at some point, and this system is broken, it will fail them when they least expect it. I`m new to the crypto market. Every crypto that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the opportunities so far. It was definitely the yen carry trade unwind. Japan has held interest rates at 0-0.1% through this whole interest rate increases by other countries. They just announced that they're going to raise interest rates to 0.25% and another interest rate hike in October. Apparently big money has been borrowing trillions from Japan to yield arbitrage, either by buying bonds in Australia or by buying equities in the US. When you look at the charts, the fall happened exactly when the BOJ announced interest rate hikes.

The amount of debt I see people going I to willingly is crazy. Friends buying brand new cars, paying $1200 a month car payment PLUS the cost of insurance. Absolutely nuts. Simple rule I follow, if you can't buy 5 of them with cash, you can't afford one of them on credit.
