Wow! Praise God! This was my favorite hymn growing up in the Lutheran Church and remains one of my all-time favorites to this day. Thank you SO MUCH for this! How glorious is our Beautiful Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! Praise God for sending His Son to bear our sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! I grew up in the 60's. Hearing this song at Christmas time, it stuck. I grew up in a Baptist Church, and from the 70's to the 2000's, I never heard this song again. It wasn't just the Baptist Church, but society in general was, to my disappointment, avoiding real Christmas songs. But, through the years, this song still stuck. It was always in my head around Christmas time. Thank God for the arrival of the internet. After about 40 years I was able to hear it again.(I officially heard it for the 1st time in 40 years, the First Christmas Day after my father passed away, on TV. Christmas in Norway.) It brought tears to my eyes. This is definitely a version that never gets old. I am thankful that other people, by the Grace of God, kept this song alive in many versions, on the internet.
