The Football Kenya Federation (Fkf) Electoral Board Has Acknowledged The Concerns Raised By Various Stakeholders Regarding The Upcoming Elections Scheduled For December 7, 2024. Candidates For The Top Seat In The Forthcoming Football Kenya Federation (Fkf) Elections Will Formally Present Their Papers On Monday, 14 October.
All Eyes Will Be On Current Fkf President Nick Mwendwa On Whether He Will Present His Papers To Contest For The Same Position Given That He Has Already Served Two Terms In Accordance With The Sports Act.
Sources Close To Mwendwa Have Intimated That He Will Indeed Present His Papers For The Top Position.
Last Week Mwendwa, Who Was First Elected In 2016, Confirmed That He Will Be On The Ballot During This Year’s Elections. He Still Enjoys The Support Of Majority Of The Delegates Who Are The Branch Chairmen Allowed To Vote.If These Branch Chairmen Are Voted Back On 9 November, They Will Most Likely Vote For Mwendwa Or Anybody Else He Picks To Succeed Him Incase He Is Not On The Ballot.
On Friday, Hussein Mohammed Unveiled Former International Macdonald Mariga As His Running Mate In A Ceremony That Was Attended By The Who-Is-Who In Sports And Political Circles.
Support For Hussein And Mariga’s Candidacy Also Includes Endorsements From Former Kenyan International Innocent Mutiso, Afc Leopards Chairman Dan Shikanda, Kibera Mp Hon Peter Orero, And Kenyan International Essie Akida Among Others.

Speaking During The Unveiling Of The Board, Owilla Also Promised To Release Timelines Of Various Events Leading To The National Office Elections. The Five-Member Board Has Appointed Lawyer Marceline Sande As The Secretary, While Former Afc Leopards Chairman Dan Mule, Sjak President James Waindi And Alfred Ng'ang'a Complete The Matrix.
