I always enjoyed Max’s approach to the debates because of his articulation and calm demeanor. Aside from the “Cliff” and “Iguodala” takes, I found myself siding with Max way more than Stephan A on a regular basis. I rarely watch First Take now.

Skip and Shannon’s chemistry is unmatched . They respect each other, Skip genuinely likes Shannon and even better that he gets to speak everyday with a hof nfl player. Shannon is the ultimate celeb with a strong personality but feels like the little brother with the grandfather that Skip really is in this sports talk business.

I agree with you man. Anybody that boast the way Stephen A does, definitely isn’t as confident in themself as they portray. He can see the way Skip and Shannon work and it makes him jealous. Max was more intertwined in Hip Hop culture than a Stephen A and he was also more insightful. We don’t even have to talk about the intellect. If you remember how Max and Marcellus worked, it makes your point even stronger.

This was a great video! Every observation that you made about Stephen A. Smith was exactly what I observed. I actually felt uncomfortable with how much he disrespected Max Kellerman on the show and eventually concluded that it was not an act. Stephen A often reminded people that it was HIS show and I have never witnessed any host of a show make comments like that. I think Stephen A has a lot of issues and one is ego and insecurity. I equate Stephen A to the WWF and Jerry Springer type of person. He provided sound bites but his analysis and content was lacking in the debates. Max was even more astute than Stephen A on race issues and social justice issues. After Max got kicked off the show I no longer watch it and refuse to watch the show because I do not want to be complicit with that nonsense. Thanks for taking this issue on and bringing it to the fore front. I hope they cancel First Take, I read where the ratings have dropped.

You could also say "This guy might be blacker than you" I loved it when T.O. said that to SAS. SaS is an insecure little man.

It's the small things as well. Shannon and Skip always exchange gifts on birthdays or pay up when they make bets in good faith. SAS didnt have the guts to look at Max in the eyes on his last day knowing he was the reason Max was gone.

Agree about Skip & Shannon, they're a good team. The early morning show Keyshawn-JWill-Max is a great show and it wouldn't surprise me it replaces 1st Take in the coming months. SAS is trash.

Remember Shannon played the ultimate team sport, which transitioned to the booth. SAS is questioned about his blackness, so when TO said Max was blacker than he was and I believe that was the moment SAS wanted Max off the show.
