Drone video shows Tropicana Field roof shredded by Hurricane Milton

Dramatic drone footage captures damage caused by Hurricane Milton to Tropicana Field's roof. The stadium is the home of the Tampa Bay Rays, in St. Petersburg, Florida. CNN's Kasie Hunt spoke to storm chaser Brandon Clement who shot the drone footage and says only 10-15% of the roof is remaining.

This is an intentional design. The “sacrificial roof” tears away to spare the rest of the structure from stress and ultimately is far less expensive to fix.
