When I entered the yachting industry in the early 90s, an 80' yacht was considered to be very big indeed. These days it is more of an entry level vessel for folk who then go on to buy 100' + superyachts!
In this video I compare two popular "entry level" yachts - The Princess X80 and the Sirena 78 - and I also tell you about a new yacht to the market that I am VERY excited about: The Holtermann 78 Fly!

I like both of these yachts, as they are very similar in specification I think the choice comes down to which one you like the look of most, (price does not come into it because if you can afford these type of yachts then it does not matter), so I would have the Princess as it just looks so much classier. Great video David thank you.

There is a number of major options on the X80, such as the main deck master cabin, also a hot tub to name a few.

I love princess, the quality and everything about them is 1st class.
Personally would go for either the my85 or my78, both beautiful.
However, they are expensive, perhaps a little too expensive considering the other brands are catching up or bettering, SanLorenzo and Sunseeker to name just 2.

Sirena! Although Princess has the brand, I believe Sirena takes the cake.

I think Sirena is a quality yacht. However, the quality of the Princess is far and away a better built yacht. The fit and finish is the best in the business. That explains much of the price difference. I have watched many videos of both brands, and the Princess always comes put on top.

There are a lot of 80 foot boats out there, one for consideration I would argue is the Arcadia Sherpa XL. Tugboat-style which means everything pushed forward so a vast main aft sun deck. Full STAIRS, not a ladder, to take you to the flybridge (can be VIP'd very easily). Four almost equal en suite double staterooms. Tender & Jetski with side garage not aft garage. All with full-on Italian styling. Superyacht mags call it a Pocket Superyacht and I don't disagree.

Princess is ( obviously to me) better in traditional style line, where the Sirena appears " boxy " with hard, aggressive ( almost ) angry external lines. However... I prefer Sirena's interior options ( especially the VIP offset) thanks for sharing these comparison videos David, very informative.

I really like these comparison videos (not as much as walk-throughs, of course), but you need to get the whip out on the editor/proofreader. In the "SILVER LASS" video, they typed a beam of 30 feet 6 inches, when you stated (and it's listed) as 13 feet six inches. In this comparison they used Italian "Salone" instead of English "Salon" at 2:50 & 3:22. 😜

Based on the general arrangement not to choose from, with range and price being the deciding factor for the Sirena. What about the Marlow 80/90? david, it's a really awesome yacht.

if im not mistaken the sirena is category A, while the princess is category B. a significant difference in design

If you have ever been on a princess you will know why they cost more. Their build quality is outstanding.
