The digital change does not even stop at field devices of building services engineering. This applies not least to valves and actuators for regulating and controlling water as a carrier medium for heating and cooling energy. As part of its digitalisation strategy, SAUTER is extending its tried and tested range of drives with the new generation of IoT-capable smart actuators.
Valve and damper actuators are among the most important components in energy distribution. They are used in heating and ventilation systems as in room automation.
The range of applications can be expanded with the optional I/O box. For example, the Smart Actuator controls the energy flow with automatic hydraulic balancing in individual room control or in heating/cooling systems.
The IoT-capable SAUTER Smart Actuator is an intelligent solution for energy distribution in smart buildings and is easy to put into operation. The connector system and pre-assembled cables ensure particularly fast, error-free commissioning. While installation time is reduced by up to 1/3 of the usual time, the mechanical and colour coding eliminates wiring errors.
Compared to a conventional installation with controllers and valve drives, the size and costs of the control cabinet panels are reduced. The Smart Actuator reduces the fire load thanks to less cabling.
