Do unicorns have an unfair advantage? If so what can be done about it?

Ordinary unicorns don't have that much power. We always saw unicorns that are talented in magic and very powerful like twilight or starlight on screen so that's why it seems that way first.

This shows that unicorns aren’t op starlight, twilight, and star swirl have a lot of magic but that’s because their talent is magic and pegasi can also control the whether which no other pony can do and if unicorns could help with the ground with magic why haven’t they

It’s wild that people think the 3 ponies who are literally trained, naturally talented unicorns are the norm.

Pretty sure the average unicorn knows like 1-3 spells and that’s it.

Earth ponies are incredibly strong physically, look at Maud and the other Pie sisters able to crush rocks with their hooves. Only a really powerful unicorn like Twilight or Starlight could be able to have the same strength as most earth ponies.

In the G5 they showed how a normal unicorn could build a house calmly and effortlessly. Considering that ponies had just gotten their powers not long ago, they only knew how to use telekinesis, and they are so inexperienced that they usually don't use their magic to hold things, making them comparable to a foal when it finally gets to use its horn ( All this on the G5), the result is that (at least on the G5) a unicorn could easily dismember you without you being able to do anything... Maybe the G5 is too OP 😅

If we go by mean, sure Unicorns are stronger because they have such big outliers. But by median the average Pegasus is probably stronger combat wise and has a lot more they can do because of weather stuff (Shown to be something just about every pegasus can do, unlike spells stronger than lifting a basketball which isnt the norm for unicorns).

Interesting idea... in some cases, unicorns can be very overpowered - like with Starlight and Twilight. Their special talents are 'magic', which is why they are able to perform feats of magic that other unicorns (such as Rarity) wouldn't be able to do. Rarity can do gem-finding spells because it's related to her talent... other unicorns without that cutie mark probably can't. Unicorns have the power needed to support their special talent, nothing more.

Edit: I want to add that this is still an advantage over Earth ponies and Pegasi - they have their special talents, but don't get any spells with it regardless of what that talent is.

I love doodling mlp so I made earth ponies element benders and slowly eradicated unicorns and pegasi from the doodles then I slowly incorporated them and made non bender earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi witches

Starlight, starswirl and twilight are the exception, not the standard. Their DESTINIES were magic and every other unicorn has the magic of their own destiny but they can have more magic if they study it.

Well just imagine what it would be like if there was a race of Ponies that had TWO Unicorn horns instead of just one(Twonicorns), and their Second Horn wasn't just another unicorn horn, but functioned as something similar to the Human's Third Eye, something that granted the Twonicorns a greater awareness of their world & beyond it, and they became aware of an untapped form of Magic greater than the magic that all other Pony Races are able to use, and their 2nd Horn could act like an antenna drawing that Greater Magic into themselves, allowing them to wield power greater than that of any Unicorn or even Alicorns,
think of it as something like that "Ancient Magic" stuff from the video game Hogwarts Legacy, where very few Wizards/Witches could wield it & even fewer could actually see it, the same basic principle would apply to Twonicorns,
the only reason we wouldn't have seen them in canon would be that they live in secret, secluded from the rest of the world in order to protect the secrets of that Greater Form of Magic & their 2nd Horns(like mystic monks), and they only use that Magic to protect their world from Apocalypse Level threats that would rival those of Marvel's Dormammu, Galactus & Thanos with the Infinity Stones & Gauntlet(like the "S" Class Heroes from One Punch Man), leaving the lesser threats to be dealt with by all other Pony Races including Alicorns,

Man do I wish they did something like That for MLP!

Only unicorns who’s talent is magic like Twilight or Starlight have that much power but ordinary unicorns like Rarity don’t have the ability to cast many spells
