Steel is a type widely known for its endurance and many resistances, but is that all that makes it as good as it is? Today I go over the entire history of Steel and its many species that led to this result.

What made gen 5 excadrill even scarier was the fact that weather was permanent in gen 5, meaning that once you had sandstorm up, the only way you can take it down was usually bringing out your own Pokémon with a weather ability

Another noteworthy Steel type would be Hisuian Goodra. Dragon-Steel is already a great type combo, and its signature move Shelter not only boosts its already great Defenses, it also acts as a free Minimize.

The steel type introduced my favorite ever gym leader, Jasmine, so I'll always be grateful towards it no matter how OP it is in the metagame

You gotta love how Steel and Fairy have the same story of trying to ensure that there is no broken type, but instead REPLACE the broken type by becoming the _new_ broken type.

Say it with me everyone. "Pokemon will never be balanced."

One of my best Steel type memories was using my Metagross (nicknamed Masher) in an Ultra Sun playthrough. That Beldum was a pain to catch but once I did, that thing was a beast especially agaist Ultra Necrozma since they had literally nothing to touch me. I'm currently using an Aggron (nicknamed AAron) for an Omega Ruby nuzlocke, and I'm at the League with it doing a suuficient amount of work on the team. Here's hoping it doesn't die.

Obligatory “oof” to Steel’s first gym leader using only Steelix and Magnemite. Gotta love Johto.

As someone who is trying to get more into the competitive scene, videos that focus on types like this are superrrr enlightening. Would love to keep seeing more on types and how they’ve evolved over the generations!

Steel will always be one of my favourite types especially due to Dialga being my favourite Pokémon but I had no idea it was this strong for so long

Hi! New subscriber going through the older vids here.
With the whole Titan submersible debacle going on right now that Titanic joke at 1:30 was actually on point

This video is making me realize that I almost always end up putting a steel type on my team without even thinking about it

8:00 "So go on, use a Steel type -- Don't be shy!" why is this sentence SO ADORABLE when paired with the picture of Aron?

Steel types are my favorite type. Love most of their designsand love their defense. If I was a gym leader I'd pick this my type.

love Steel types more than anything, always have and that love was exponentially compounded when the absolute BS that is Fairy was added, Heavy Metal Life.

Actually steel having an advantagr over ghost made perfect sense as in many cultures' mythology iron is known to ward off spirits.

The Abra line should have an ability called spoon bender that makes psychic moves super effective against steel type

This was a really cool type (no pun intended) of video. Would love to see more of these for the other types!
