Today was the last day of the state of emergency in Tokyo, and I'm off to Tohoku on Tuesday to do more travel videos again. When I worked as a bartender I used to make lemonade coffee every Sunday morning shift after a late Saturday night shift. Woke me right up! In a shaker I would put a shot of espresso, half a lemon, simple syrup, ice, then just shake, add some water if needed. It was pretty popular with my coworkers, so we ended up making an alcoholic version and put it on our drink menu. Happy Father's Day John!

there's an old 'housewives tale' that caffeine paired with c-vitamines works so much better/quicker, so you should squeeze some lemon into your coffee and that's also supposed to work wonders if you have headaches ... maybe that lemonade coffee is a modern version of this .
