I am a Chevy bolt owner as well. My range has varied from 190 to 250 miles. The biggest factor is the exterior temperature and whether or not I run the heater. The 190 mile range occurrs at 30 degrees F with the heat cranked up. It’s still a great car! Just so you know I have a good friend with a Tesla and he has the same issue.

Eric this is beautiful, to be able to travel 198mi (316km) and still have 57mi (91km) left that is amazing! with this car I would only need to recharge maybe once a week, my distance to work is 25, 5mi (40, 7km) so daily commute is 51mi (81, 4km) I could benefit from this car so much!

thank you for this information

So I see that this is a level 2 charging station and my question is if you set your amperage draw from 8 to 12 will the car charge faster and/or provide greater range?

just wondering if you coast to a red light or 'gas it' to the red?

I have the 2013 Volt does the Bolt EV have the triple loud chirps then you leave the car on and leave with the key fob?

Does one pedal driving activate the brake lights?

I live in Phoenix so I was expecting the air conditioning to really eat into the range. But so far I’m still getting at least 200 miles.

The 238 Mi range is the EPA estimate and that would take into account for somebody who is Generaly using the climate control and probably doing a little bit more aggressive acceleration and breaking then you are doing for sure plus I don't know if that EPA estimate is taking into complete account all the regenerative braking that is happening especially considering somebody who is doing some more aggressive braking then one pedal driving is actually using the friction brakes as well which reduces the efficiency of the vehicle so yeah based on the videos I've seen you post this Vehicles Great car for you man.

Interesting video, thanks. Seems crazy to type an eight digit number to activate a free public charger. What's the point of that? Once that hand-written sticker falls off, it becomes useless?

Put that thing on a freeway at a solid 65 to 70 miles per hour for 100 miles then compare mileage used to the rated remaining. So far I have seen no tests for that yet and I am curious.

Freezing and below really has an adverse affect on the battery. Thus, why you're experiencing such long range.

Should I drive the car in the L position all the time ??
Also can I drive the Bolt at 65 miles an hour while in the L position??

thanks for sharing this! free charging stations are rare in Maryland. 2 bucks an hour is normal up to 7.2 kW. my car pulls 3.6 true kW. (leaf 2012). I wonder, have you DC quick charged yet? perhaps signed up with EV go or another charging brand? there's like 5 brands out here. thanks again!

Can you please do a video of you using the D.C. fast charge

by the way I think it's pretty cool that chevrolet tells you the EPA rating is 238 miles even though you are able to reach around 250mi, in Europe they would tell you can reach 280mi according to NEDC but they also mention that it is in super special conditions so basically they lie to you however EPA is very honest

Not sure if GM is hyper conservative on the range estimate, or there is a secret REx somewhere in the car XD

Eric, what range should I expect to get if I'm driving mostly 65-70mph? I have a few 90-200 mile highway trips I take every year. Chargers are provided at the destination, but I wasn't sure how quickly the battery drains at high speeds.
Great Bolt content, by the way!
