Think back to the first time you ever saw an excel style spreadsheet... Its powerful they said, DBs, P and Ls, finance, graphs charts, macros and pivot tables... you can do anything with it they extoled.... All true, but to the newbie looking at it... ya, but how? With great power generally comes great complexity. GA4's usability is far out of reach for the average even above average business owner, whereas UA just about anyone could add a plugin to their wordpress theme, add their UA account number and have a wide range of website analytics reports available to them. Summary, great for me... not so great for the SMB.

Hi, i am new to google analytics. and data analysis as a whole, have no idea. i was trying to start my journey of learning google analytics, but when i tried to start the course, i have noticed that there are 2 versions of GA. AU and G4 if i am not mistaken i have noticed that the current GA certificate in coursera is AU. and AU is reaplacing by G4. my question is i am lost, Should I learn the old version? or should i ignore it and jump to G4 right away? and if i do that and start G4, How long will it take to learn? is it faster than the AU? should i need to know AU before considering G4? please help?

For my purposes, this is WAY to complicated. I have a music website which has reports. I sell songs from 8 albums. Nothing like corporate lif.
