HOW TO REVIVE STALE BREAD

Just popping in to share a quick tip about reviving stale bread that a lot of people I talk to don't seem to know about!

Since stale bread is just bread that has lost it's moisture (water), you can totally bring it back to life by adding some water back into it and throwing it back in the oven. It really is like brand new fresh bread all over again.

Thanks for watching this quick stale bread hack, I hope it helps you out!

A little about me:

I'm Paula, and I started How To Make Dinner because dinnertime is my favourite time of day. (Except on weekends, when it's breakfast, but you get the point.) I love winding down at the end of the day with a good cooking and eating sesh.

I love dinnertime SO MUCH, but I know not all of you feel the same way. Feeding ourselves and our families can be stressful. So I started this channel and my blog to help give you easy dinner ideas for enjoyable home cooking with less fuss.

My dinnertime strategy - Keep it simple and delicious, and don't use too many pots and pans. Learn to cook with me and you'll be the master of quick and easy dinners that will please everyone.

Like food? Me too! I share food photos and ideas for MORE easy dinners to make on the socials:

I upload a new cooking video every Wednesday

Whoa! What do we have here? Posting a video on an early Saturday morning?? Thought I'd throw in a mini bonus episode since I had to deal with this bread anyway. Happy weekend!! - Paula

I just saved an entire loaf of homemade sourdough! I was ready to toss it (it was a total brick), then thought: there must be something on youtube. Yep! Thanks a million!

Got to the store almost before closing and all they had left was not so fresh loaves. I’m about to do this for my breakfast, warm sliced French bread with marscapone cheese, figs and honey drizzled on top!

I had a lovely crusty bread roll that was like concrete. Seriously you could have used it as a hammer. 😅. I tried your trick and it came out absolutely perfect. It was just like it was fresh out of the baker’s oven. Thank you so much. Brilliant tip👍🏻❤️😊

I read this trick years ago and it really works, even on a roll or pastry.

Hello Paula, Thank you for posting this tip! I had the opportunity to test it, today, when I made lunch. I was making Sausage Peppers & Onions and discovered that the Italian Bread I had bought a few days ago and left on the counter in its paper sleeve had gotten rock hard! So, I warmed up the oven, ran the bread under cold water sat it in the oven for 10 minutes, and PRESTO! The bread was as soft and delicious as the day I bought it!
I've also been happily making my own Mayonnaise for MANY months, now, thanks to your video showing how to do it! I never worry that I'm running low on Mayo anymore, since a fresh batch can be ready for use in under 5 minutes! I'm SO glad I found your videos here on YouTube!

Loved the way you made my breakfast simple.. all the while I used to throw away my baguette because it came cold and hard from the grocery store. You have really rescued a baguette from going to the waste bin. Thank you.

Everytime I buy fresh French bread from Publix, 2 days later it turns into Thor’s hammer. Wonder if this will work, even though it was never frozen. Literally every time we buy French bread, we don’t want it until it’s 3 days old lol.

Just tried it with a rye/wheat bread that was adamant. Had oven set to 175° C convection. Worked perfectly. 😁

Hi. Thank you for the tips. May I know, why we should soaked the bread first? And did you pre-heat the oven?
