Do you get nervous when you hear "aim constraint"? This video will show you some REALLY COOL ways to link objects together, and will make ALL of Maya's constraints much simpler to understand by showing you what each one does, in order!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In three years, I went from having absolutely no experience in 3D Animation to working at DreamWorks Animation Studios teaching just about all of the 3D software used to make movies! After 2 years there, I left to try freelance / independent content creation on YouTube for awhile, before I head back to Feature Film!

This is my journey- the entire process from when I decided I wanted to be an animator until I eventually get there, and everything along the way that will make it possible.

Whether you're chasing a similar dream, or just interested to see where mine takes me, subscribe to follow along with the incredible journey that it takes to become an animator!

You will not be disappointed.

Keep up with the action and connect with me on social!

Which constraint type was your favorite? Did any of these give you new ideas, or did they open up any new questions? :)

This was the first video of yours that I realized you left Dreamworks, your dream job, to teach the general population of animation students for FREE. I am sure you do not make as much money on here as you did at Dreamworks so I thank you a hundred times over for your videos. Your dedication to teaching us and lending your brilliance is so apparent in all your videos.

Oh my god! Yesterday I was just literally introduced to this topic in my 3D class at college and when the teacher mentioned constraints and made an example we needed to do (we had to animate a little cube) I was so confused with this things. It’s amazing to watch this video in your channel, I’ve been following you for some time now and I wanna say thank you for doing this videos. When I watched the Zelda Rig video I was introduced for the first time at the rigging topic and now that I’m about to start the topic at college I’m more confident with everything I’m about to learn thanks to your videos <3<3

Thank you so much for this video! I want to become a general rigger, and you teaching the geometry and normal constraint specifically gave me an idea on how to create limbs that can slide freely around a character's body, such as moving an arm (separate geo from the body) from the shoulders to the hips

I really had a hard time in parent constraints...sometimes it always really bugs me when i can never get it right
Especially when a character is holding something and throwing or putting it down
Like right now I'm doing an animation of a skateboarder...it's a nightmare
But you are always a great teacher and the way you explained it it's amazing like everything's alright it'll work just fine
thanks #SirWade
it's awesome and great work
Love your videos
Hope to see more of your amazing useful videos...
