I actually like Contenders, but only hobby & maybe megas.
I like the ink you can get in them.
It just depends on what you collect. I mainly collect ink. I'm not as into what color a card is, what parallel or insert I get. I want the autos/RPAs. Contenders autos hold their value better than almost any autos out there.
You've just gotta know, after your 1st year, that Contenders retail, other than megas, are just not worth the $$$. Unless you get EXTREMELY lucky. Most blasters I've seen are junk. All hanger boxes, fat packs etc...are junk, but we all know that already so not sure why everyone is surprised by this.
I would prefer they keep some products hobby only anyway. This is a good example of why.
I have seen a couple monster blasters out of all the junk I've seen.
I saw Carolina Rippers pull a variation rookie ticket RPA of TLaw. I also saw someone else pull the rookie variation RPA redemption of J'Marr Chase, so there are gems out there. But, it's like gold mining. A few rare lucky individuals will get rich, the rest will go broke digging for treasures.
With products costing what they do, are there really any products that you buy, unless getting extremely lucky, where you don't feel Fd over these days????

If people think these are junk, I'd advise them to stay away from most retail, other than mega/Premium boxes, and esp products like retail playbook- even the megas with that are junk. Another product that should remain hobby only.

I don't know why people even waste their money with this product, in my humble opinion, I think the design and actually everything about "contenders" for any sport is flat out ugly and should be sponsored by hefty because of how trash it is! Ty sir for the rip def took another one for the team
