I was so worried when I saw you were still rocking a Win 7 system in 2023 during the last PC troubleshooting stream. glad to see you've now got a build that's worthy of RCR!

hey random correction to a chatter at the end of the stream, 4 pin fan headers don't introduce RGB. They allow for duty cycle control of the fan (usually called Pulse Width Modulation - PWM) and measurement of the fan RPM. annoyingly, RGB has to be done with a seperate cable, and there are a number of competing standards for that. for most people, 3 pins' lack of fine grain control and fan tachometer doesn't matter at all, and they fit on a 4 pin header.

BIOS update is not something to sneeze at. You will need to be able to let the computer finish the task during a time when it is not in danger of being turned off, because if a BIOS update fails, the motherboard can often be ruined (being left without a functioning BIOS, and thus no way to recover). Make sure to read up on this process and get everything you need together before starting the process. It was worse in the bad-old-days (90's and 2000's) but it's still risky.
