Add this - Suppose you want to access last element of array, you can just do a[-1] because the a[0] belongs to first element. that's why array start from 0.

I think it is just a convention that was adopted from older languages. We have languages that have indexing from 1 and languages having option of indexing from 0 or 1.

but i saw one video on youtube in which the guy actually changed the starting index from 0 to 2 of array in some programming language i don't know how that was possible plz explain this too.
